Remembering Malcolm X Fifty Years LaterReader comment on item: Remembering Malcolm X Fifty Years Later Submitted by BALARABE ABBA (Nigeria), Feb 24, 2015 at 04:21 It is always good to remember people who have contributed positive or negative, what interested me most is your mentioning of the assassins, as a student of history, kindly oblige readers with names of those Nation of Islam assassins, their confession, and court conviction of Elijah Mohammed for the murder of Malcolm X and the court case reference. Thanks. Submitting....

Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. Daniel Pipes replies: This will have to suffice for now: Three NoI members (two of whom had been indicted just the month before for shooting another NoI defector) were arrested and convicted of the murder. Elijah Muhammad himself barely denied his complicity: "We didn't want to kill Malcolm and we didn't try to. We know such ignorant, foolish teachings would bring him to his own end." Although all signs point to NoI involvement in the assassination, the organization denies everything and has even threatened to sue those who allege otherwise. Reader comments (21) on this item
