Crushing Sacred Symbols Does Not Crush the Spirit of TruthReader comment on item: Islam Bulldozes the Past Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Apr 20, 2015 at 15:33 Years ago there was a sarcastic view of religion embraced in a cartoon, where the word 'NOTHING' was embellished and enshrined and people were bowing down to it. The quip underneath the image was: Is Nothing Sacred? Now this appears to be more than a sarcastic notion as the world struggles with the resurgence of a reinvigorated religious question: Is Islam better/bigger/more impressively terrible than Christianity? Given the increased intensity of ISIS/ISIL/IS's devastating actions towards all other religious sectors (including non-aligned Muslims) of the Middle East, with the apparent targeting of things especially associated with the legacy of Jesus Christ, one might get an impression that Islam might have an edge over Christianity; but one thinking so forgets one crucial aspect of the Middle East that Islam will never conquer. They cannot conquer the Spirit that is not theirs to conquer - it is, literally, Biblically, impossible. The most poignant example is one of several narratives in which children are massacred for believing in Yeshua/Jesus. Those voices now silenced on earth are witnesses in Heaven now heard before the throne of the Eternal Sovereign; and His name is not at all associated with allah. So, the destruction will continue as was determined by Biblical precepts; and the mountains of testimony build against those destined for judgment as they continue to rebel against the Biblical dictums of belief versus unbelief, of believers knowing Who Jesus is versus unbelievers spurning the testimony of innocent voices, courageous voices out of the mouths of babes, giving Jesus honor as they are released into His presence. The air is thickened in truth and His love. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
