Islam also bull dozes the (inconvenient) present (Explaining 98%)Reader comment on item: Islam Bulldozes the Past Submitted by Prashant (United States), Apr 27, 2015 at 04:55 Dear dr Pipes, Islamic fundamentalism not only just destroys the past. It also destroys the inconvenient present. Rational thinkers are difficult to come by in draconian societies and if/when they come, it is easy to eliminate them. Just yesterday a very liberal thinker woman Sabeen Mahmud was shot dead in Pakistan. Her crimes: she organized a meeting that presented a dissenting view on the local Balochistan problem. And, previously, she organized Pakistan's first software hackathon. It is easy to ignore each murder as just the next little statistic but that is why in so many Islamic countries 98% of the population is Muslim. Murder of one person who thinks freely, prevents thousands of people from having free thoughts.
