Not just Egypt

Dear Dr Pipes,

your reader Michael Morcos has rightly predicted that Egypt will become a fullblown failed state. Mr Morcos is being very conservative in his prediction. It is almost guaranteed that every theological society that prohibits freedom of thought will become a failed state. The question is not Islamic states will collapse as political entities, the question is how long it will take for them to collapse and how much damage they will do to the world before they collapse.
