The Bible accepted slavery as existing but never endorsed it

There were situations which existed in Biblical times broadly and which are mentioned and included in the bible, but are not endorsed at all by God. One among several, is slavery. Another is having more than one wife. (I will n ot mention them all) Having more than one wife existed, but was considered a weakness and NOT the ideal state. Slavery existed as an institution and rules on the treatment of and actions of slaves were written, but no where is slavery endorsed by God, nor is polygamy endorsed. God gave men and women free will. Humans made the institutions which are evil and or subjugate humans. It is a human weakness to subjugate others, One which civilized nations in modern times have finally realized is just plain wrong.
