Turkophobia does not exist

A new word is about to enter the English, French, German and Italian dictionaries. The word is "Turkophobia" and it describes the Western European fear of Turkey.


Apparently, those who wish to bar the way to Turkey in the European Union are Turkophobes.


Have you noticed how many such words are created every day? Islamophobia, Turkophobia.

I am not sure that Turkophobia even exists. In Italy and France, such feeling would go back to the Crusades, when Turkey didn't even exist.

In Germany, it should be due to Turkish immigration: there are already 2 million Turks in Germany.


In my view, those who are against Turkey's membership of the European Union are simply concerned with the problem of immigration.

If millions of immigrants, both legal and illegal, enter Western Europe every year, aren't we suppoused to be worried?

Does it matter that these immigrants are Turks? Does it matter that they are dark? Does it matter that they are Muslim? NO, IT DOESN'T.

All that matters is that Western Europe is already being invaded by immigrants and we have got to patrol our borders.

We can allow in a few thousand immigrants per year, but not millions.

If millions of Turkish immigrants move to Western Europe, the consequences will be very serious for our social security.

If millions of Ukranians move to Western Europe, the consequnces will be the same.

If millions of German-looking white immigrants enter Western Europe, the consequences will be the same.

The truth is that most people don't hate the Turks, but they are afraid of an irresponsible immigration policy.

Even if immigrants were all blonde, with blue-eyes, my reaction would be the same.

Even if the Turks were Christians, I would still be cautious about letting millions of immigrants into the European Union.

Turkey shall not join the European Union.
