Pipes: Explaining the Denial

That answers my question about why our elites are lying. I suggest making that link more prominent.

You point out the PC desire to preserve the US social order of diversity and tolerance above all else. The elite technique of lying about the world violates a more important part of our social order: to have an honest, tranparent government responsive to the will of the civil society.

Obama has lied and manipulated to the point where maybe half of the population distrusts the government, believing correctly that it is lying to its advantage and treating the public as stupid sheep.

PC is itself a lie. The government supports tolerance for Muslims and minorities, but not for opposing political views (Republicans, Conservateives), skepticism about global warming, the validity of the Constitution, and the rule of reason at universities.

I don't look forward to a system where we have elections only to select the next dictator.
