When that Time Approaches, Where Does a Believer Want to Be...Reader comment on item: Will Turks Accept the Election Results? Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Nov 24, 2015 at 15:51 As mentioned elsewhere, this reader of the Apocalypse tends towards a more literal reading ofo Scripture to describe the timing and effects of things like the release of the horsemen, the shfars, and the bowls. None of those are going to happen until Daniel's scroll is given to the Lamb; and I expect to be there with the pre-apocalyptic saints when that happens. As for the denarii gets an homer for a days worth of bread, you have seen the price of bread these days, right? Wonder bread used to go for 50 cents or so when I was a kid; now the real stuff to toast goes for $5.00 or more for half a loaf. It is not all that hard to imagine $50.00 for a loaf for someone on minimum wage. One other issue is whether to use the Julian/Gregorian calendar (they seek to change the times) in capturing some sense of the Biblical tracking of fulfillments, since we know from Biblical study that celestial mechanics is the preferred methodology to catalog fulfillment events, something learned when finding out Yeshua Ben David was not a winter baby. So, am I waiting for doomsday? Not really. Instead, I am waiting for the fulfillment of the promise of His return, when the attending angel told the disciples the manner of His return. Now that's worth the better study....... Acts 2 reminding us of Joel 2.
