Wider applicabilityReader comment on item: The Danger of Partial No-go Zones to Europe Submitted by Harvey Lithwick (Israel), Dec 29, 2015 at 00:09 A very important piece, and should be immediately studied, taught and discussed in Western countries, to stiffen the resolve of their populations to their governments' regaining their monopoly of force and consistency of the application of their laws to all citizens. I would suggest that Israel be part of this learning process as well, for it, no less than the west, has enabled hostile communities to thrive in its midst, and has all too often - most recently in negotiations with Turkey - accepted a supine, guilt-ridden posture towards its neighbors. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: The Israelis are sometimes weak, to be sure, but not in this regard. They have mostly ended their problem with illegal immigrants and have not let no-go zones emerge. Reader comments (23) on this item
