I agree with every word. When Rudy Guliani was mayor of NYC, he took a determined stand against crime in the city and delivered to te betterment of the city's citizens. I believe that Europe could do the same, but i'ts less than certain that they have the will. If they don't, then people are likely to vote for parties which will carry out more extreme policies some of which may return a bit of sanity to their nations.

To paraphrase Jared Diamond, when a nation no longer has the will to survive, then it will die. Let's hope they find this will.
