Europe and the Roman Empire 476 AD and the barbarian invasions v Arab/Muslim invasionsReader comment on item: "The rebellion against Islam and Islamism is growing in Europe" Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Jun 17, 2016 at 13:56 Dr Pipes What is happening in Europe now is not unlike the migrations of the Goths Vandals and Huns that destroyed the political power of the Roman Empire and brought it to an end in 476 AD and dragged Europe into the dark ages! And it was the end of the classical civilizations of antiquity Another scenario? If we are to believe Henri Pirenne then it was the Arab/Muslim invasions in the 7th century and not the above barbarian invasions that ended the Roman civilization and dragged Europe into the dark ages! Same outcome Moral of the story? Not just Europeans but here in the US we should wake up and realize that the Western civilization could be heading to another dark age
