For Europe: Christian Russia vs. Muslim Turkey: Seeing the Forest for the TreesReader comment on item: Europe's Epochal Elections Submitted by Robert (United States), Dec 13, 2016 at 11:52 The European Union is, in my view, a historical outgrowth of the Roman Empire. Unfortunately, those who have only been exposed to a Multicultural Syllabus in their Western Education, and deprived of the studies allegedly perpetuated by "Dead White Men" will like not understand what I have to say or write. One needs to read closely the writings of Henry Kissinger and Daniel Pipes, who happen to be Living European-American Jewish Men extremely well versed in European or Middle East History respectively. It took France, after the defeat of Napoleon, somewhere between Decade and Ages to establish a Liberal Parliamentary Democracy. By the end of the Second World War (1945) the World Order (Kissinger's concept) was primarily polarized between the Western Democratic Capitalist pole and the Eastern Totalitarian Communist pole, with the Third World, or Unaligned World on the fringe. By the 1990's this system collapsed. But what took its place ? Reading Henry Kissinger, one (like myself) is inclined to see the product of Henry Kissinger's work: Economic Globalization with two Superpowers, American and China. But what about the Fringe ? That, I hold, requires one to focus on the Arab Spring of 2011. It began with a Muslim street peddler and his cart being confiscated by a Policewoman and his humiliation. But instead of unfolding into European inspired revolution for Democracies and the equitable distribution of work and wealth, Islamism emerged first in the Arab world of North Africa and Western Asia. That unfolding, as we know see and know, turned the Arab Spring into a Muslim Hell. However, it not only affected the primarily Muslim populations, it also affected primarily Christian Europe and Jewish Israel, with Muslim Terror acts and the Flooding of Europe with unfortunate displaced Arab and Muslim and African and Asian Migrant Populations. And now, the Wild Card. Donald Trump and his Dream of "Making America Great Again." In place of the Righteous and Diplomatic Hussein Barack Obama we now have, as a Hegelian Anti-Thesis, Donald Trump of "The Apprentice" and the Traditional American Beauty Pageant (Miss Universe). It is Cowboy Donald Trump, who loves General Patton: "God have mercy on their Souls, because I won't." A close scrutiny of Trump's cabinet appointments etc., should give suggestions where we're headed. As Islamist Erdogan and Turkey appear moving away from Europe, I see the possinility of Orthodox Christian Putin and Russia coming closer to Europe, by way of the United States. Perhaps the West's Economic Advances may Subdue and Corrupt the Autocratic ways of Asiatic Russia. During the Dark Ages Europe was Christian but weak, while the strong Barbarian Pagan German tribes invade it. Subsequently it was the Cross which subdued and Civilized the Heathen Germans, and the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation took Root. I know, I've skipped Henry Kissinger's Peace of Westphalia (1648). But I just mentioned it. Although the Austrian-Hungarian Empire pretended to represent the German Nation, it was the small, non-German little state, PRUSSIA, which had began emerging as a representative of the German people. Per-capita it had the advantage of a powerful military. And by luck, or Destiny, Prussian Bismark replaced Austrian Klemens von Metternich (the subject of Kissinger's Thesis) who, through military wars and conquest turned the Prussian King (Monarch) into the German Kaiser (Caesar, Emperor) . History, Karl Marx allegedly noted, repeats itself: initially as Tragedy, and subsequently as Farce. I see Hitler as the Antithesis of Bismark. Now I'm speculating as to Germany's Angela Merkel being the Antithesis the Furor. An aversion to Racist Nazi Germany has made that Country a strong disseminated of Multiculturalism, whereby an aversion to Islamism, a Neologism designed to turn Islam and Muslim into Euphemisms, is in the process of being regurgitated under the rise of European Populism. An extremely notable Protagonist of this Historical process is Politician Geert Wilders of the Netherlands who asked, in violation of his country's Penal Code, if the People want more or less Moroccans? It is to be noted that the majority of Moroccans, in Morocco or the Netherlands, are Muslim, and likely to include Muslim or Islamist Terrorists about to explode their Suicide Vest, developed by Palestinian Muslims in the Holy Land (Palestine and Israel). I would like to conclude these Comments with mere Imagination. Imagine, if you will (as the interjection goes), Geert Wilders on a Soapbox somewhere in a public Square in Morocco, with a Bullhorn shouting, "Do you want more or less Dutch, or Europeans in Morocco ?" The point of this inquiry is to speculate on the alleged "bad" nature of Colonialism. Was it really evil when Christians Colonized the Arab or Muslim world and brought a bit of modernity to it? Or was it terminated prematurely ? The answers to this query aren't difficult to anticipate. But if European Colonialism of the Arab and Muslim world is deemed Unacceptable, why does Eurpope fail to object, until very recently, the effective Colonization of its European Union by Muslims displaced by their own horrors and wars due to Islam, or Islamism, if one wishes to be Politically Correct?
