A note about Linda Sarsour's hypocrisy and exploits.

Dear Dr Pipes, It was good that you exposed Linda Sarsour's hypocrisy. Thanks for pointing out that her blog ("My Hjiab is my hoodie") about the murder of Shaima Alawadi stands live on CNN and accompanies no apology from Ms Sarsour that information contained in the blog is wrong. So Ms Sarsour is actively spreading lies.

It is also a disgrace that Obama's White House recognizes Ms Sarsour as an agent of change. Ms Sarsour is a hypocrite. She wants all changes in the USA and some how believes that democracy and freedom that America so desperately needs are completely unneeded in the Islamic nations and within Islamic doctrine. The biggest need of our times is to change Islamic mindsets toward democracy.

Ms Sarsour has also used another tactic that is used so often by Islamists. In any society you can find social groups that are disadvantaged. Muslims always side with these social groups to get legitimacy to their own cause and (hopefully) to win some converts. In almost every country (except the majority-Muslim ones) Muslim women are 'feminists', in India Muslims side with the socially disadvantaged castes, in the US they side with black people. Following this tactic, Linda Sarsour also shed a crocodile tear for Trayvon Martin in her CNN blog.

Everyone should get a chance to explain and/or redeem themselves. Ms Sarsour and hundreds of other Islamic apologists can redeem themselves if they write essays on why Islamic countries also need democracy or (at least) explain why they do not. I am waiting to read such articles.
