The Kabul meme

So does the creator of the Kabul - New York meme, imply that soviet secular values are actually part of the greater Western intellectual tradition? Because Kabul was like that due to Soviet influence and if I am allowed my two cents of historical aside, the Afghanistan problem could have been solved, if the Soviets were allowed to deal with them, the way they knew -- by banging heads together and laying down the line.

Say what you will, but the Soviets knew how to treat Muslims, whereas the West keeps fudging things either by invoking multiculturalism or by some strange guilt complex. The result is what we see today...
