There are other optionsReader comment on item: Another Attempt at "Extreme Vetting" Submitted by Leon Kushner (Canada), Apr 4, 2017 at 19:11 Dear Daniel, If I was you I would advocate for such systems. I agree that looking at phones is mickey mouse. Giving an immigrant a questionnaire without any other physiological testing (such as a lie detector) is also fairly useless. Well trained custom officers who themselves have undergone testing by such systems along with the use of these systems coupled with effective intelligence organizations are THE best options available to intercept terrorists and/or to ensure that unwanted elements are not allowed into our countries. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: Taking physical conditions into account is a good idea but a skilled operative will not show symptoms so it should not be central. Reader comments (9) on this item
