Dear Dr Pipes, In your above article you describe your impressions of a conference that you attended in University of Pennsylvania. You ask, "What's with all this turning nouns into verbs with –ize?". It is very simple, Dr. Pipes: Academics have idiot-ized themselves. It has been going on for several decades, but now it is fully done.

Sorry for being so blunt but there is no other truth.
