My idea is piking currencyReader comment on item: The Saudi Solution Submitted by Prashant, May 7, 2017 at 11:08 Dear Dr Pipes, my transformation that Israel should buy/accept-in-donation land from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is picking up currency. My idea was a transformation of Debanjan Banerjee's original but absurd idea that Israel should settle Syrian refugees in Israel. I transformed that idea to suggest that KSA should donate/sell a chunk of its land to Israel. I suggested this idea to highlight that our planet uses a very different yardstick to judge Islam and Islamic countries than what we use to judge ourselves. While the idea of Syrians being accommodated in Europe and even Israel is considered tenable by everyone, we do not even think that any refugee can be settled in KSA. Even Muslim refugees are not interested in going there. And our world is OK with that. It goes without saying that we should judge Islam with exactly the same stick that we judge everyone else. Your reader anon from Israel, suggested that we should bring some multiculturalism to KSA. He also noted that KSA will not welcome the Syrians. All these points highlight the prevailing hypocrisy. Indeed, we need to bring multiculturalism and diversity to KSA. That includes the Bible, the Torah and the Gita and Upanishads. And that is just the start. And that is only fair. Bigotry is anything that is inverse of it. Let me repeat. That is only fair. Bigotry is anything inverse of it. I am glad that my idea is getting currency and I have only Debanjan Banerjee to thank for it.
