Machiavellism and/or Realpolitik ?

Dear Daniel Pipes,

Thanks to your directing me to this page,
I now re-read it after 3 1/2 years
and believe I understand you much better,
or rather, I misunderstand you far less.

First of all, it would be useful I think for your to invoke the name of Machiavelli
with your own views on him,
because I believe you probably are practicing his views of Statedmanship
(meaning how one runs a State, or Country).

Second, what you seem to be expressing here
is embodied I suspect in the Notion or Concept of Realpolitik
as practiced by Metternich, Bismarck, and Henry Kissinger, no ?

Third, you are here expressing I believe the MISSION STATEMENT
of your Middle East Forum.
Accordingly, I Strongly Recommend technical website maintenance crew or professional
that a Tab or Click be placed
at the top of this Page
right after "Home" entitled
Mission Statement which would link to this Page
and that your Title be modified accordingly to read "Mission Statement [Strategy, not Advocacy]".
