Our dear Umar Muhammad from Nigeria whose ancestors in Africa were enslaved by the Arab slave traders and now he is pontificating about Arabic to English transliteration so let us read together and laugh

>Makkah is correct

Wrong as you shall see

Well in Arabic it is مَكّةََ

So work with me our dear Umar whose ancestors in Africa were enslaved by the Arab slave traders:

1. First letter is meem with a fatha and this is transliterated as Ma

2. The second letter is Kaf with a shadda (double consonant) so in actual fact it is Kaf Kaf this can be transliterated to English as either CC or KK both are correct

3. Last letter is Tah Marbouta but again Tablighees and not just tablighees but many Arabs have no clue about the Arabic letter Ta Marbouta and they mix it and confuse it with Arabic letter Heh

Ta Marbouta is a vestige of Syriac in the Qur'an and it is SILENT at the end of a word but it is vocalized as Ta not Arabic Heh ه or Ha ح if the following word starts with the Arabic definite article ال or al

Now notice that there a Fatha above the Ta Marbouta or the short vowel a

Do you get it so far our dear Umar whose African ancestors were ensalved by the Arab slave traders?

et voila you transliterate it as Makka or Macca

Now do us all a favor and stick to your spoken language in Nigeria and leave islam and the Arabs and their cultural imperialism
