see Dubai's web site re not allowing Israelis to enter that countryReader comment on item: Hilton Hotel's "Pilgrimage to Makkah" Submitted by Muriel (United States), Mar 16, 2007 at 18:55 It is bad enough that no-one but Muslims may go to Mecca. That is disgusting in itself. Suppose the Vatican said only Catholics may enter there. But the ostracism of Israel is so blatant - go onto the Dubai website, look at Travel- Visa Regulations, and under "General lnformation" it says "Nationals of 'Israel' may not enter the U.A.E. Note that Israel is in parentheses - they don't even want to recognize it exists, and note it doesn't say "citizens" but rather "nationals." I wonder if Israeli Arabs may enter Dubai. It makes me ill whenever I see a NYT article lauding Dubai as a modern wonderful country . We should all write letters telling them to mention that "nationals of Israel" may not go there. The invitation to visit doesn't extend to Israel. Please read that as all Jews are not welcome!
