Tommy Robinson's value as an insider and a reverse-populistReader comment on item: Why MEF Supports Tommy Robinson Submitted by myth (Germany), Jul 31, 2018 at 06:53 What sets Tommy Robinson apart is his value as an insider. He speaks from personal direct experience as a Luton resident. He knows many of the islamist actors in Luton and their victims personally. Add to that he is a "working-class lad" rather than an intellectual. Can anyone be more different from the 6-Ps? Against intuition I am impressed with his ability to interview intellectuals. I see him as the reverse-populist. The common populist would be a privileged intellectual claiming to be "of-the-people and talking to the people. Tommy is "of-the-people" with the ability to talk to the intellectuals.
