I don't think you got it! Rational and critical thinking is the hallmark of the Western mind. These tools are used by both camps, liberals and conservatives

Peterson who is a psychologist believes that liberals are good at risk taking and therefore innovations. While conservatives are good at running very complex systems, be it in government, science or economics. And both are truly needed within the confines of a democracy
