Still Skeptical (Of Trump's Israel Policy)Reader comment on item: Still Skeptical [of Trump's Israel Policy] Submitted by Judith Davies (United States), Oct 21, 2018 at 18:04 Great analysis! I couldn't agree more. Any mention of a future Palestinian state with a part of Jerusalem not given as its capital seems to have been eliminated from the discussion. Perhaps it would have been preemptive to have mentioned the possibility as "nevermore" and playing international politics is always dicey. That said, I suspect this Administration hopes it won't ever have to go there, but any new Administration just might. I fear the latter more than the current though I trust not in any. In the end, you are right in my opinion, that it has to be Israel's call and they need to stand strong even against us! We need them more in the Middle East than they need us. Saudis will never change but everybody is invested with them and they never let any of us forget it! Too bad they own everybody, including us!
