The "United States of" IndiaReader comment on item: Trump's Saudi Speech: Pretty Good Submitted by Robert (United States), Oct 22, 2018 at 15:36 Dear Prashant, Thank you very much for your thought out responsive commentary. I particularly am moved by your views not only because you come from a country with over a Billion people population but you also come from a Great Empire and Civilization that gave us (among many other wonderful things) NOTHING (Zero), the Hindu-Arabic Numeral system. Metaphorically unfortunately, when the Tower of Babel was constructed (according to Judaism & Christianity) with human arrogance, Devin Punishment intervened and Humanity (& HuWomanity) found themselves Speaking in different Tongues. Accordingly, you've Misunderstood me. (1) Regarding the separation of Mosque and State in Saudi Arabia I was merely referencing the fact that there are two major Arabs Tribes or Clans in Saudi Arabia, and that one is entrusted with the care of Faith in the Kingdom, while the other cares for the Secular Matters of State. I only wished that you acknowledge that this has the POTENTIAL in Time for Change and Progress. It might entail, for example, that the Young Prince, MbS may put under Hose Arrest those other tribe members he refuse to return Saudi Arabia to the form of Islam which existed in Saudi Arabia before the 1970's (are you aware that this historical difference exists?). (2) You also did not appreciate my Realpolitik approach. There are limits to the extent that we can convince or force Saudi Arabia to Reform, or how quickly it can do so. Such progress requires Generations. So, unfortunately, we have little choice but to live with the reality of lack of Freedom of the Press in Saudi Arabia. (3) You focus too much on my reference to the West. I am an American in the first instance addressing an American audience which is Part of the West. On the other hand, you are also a part of the same British Empire from which the American Revolution achieved its goals while retaining what is best from the Anglo-Saxons, Norman Conquest, British Empire, and the United Kingdom- Long live the Queen, the Great Elizabeth the Second. And in your case, we have the Wonderful Mahatma Gandhi, who educated the whole world about the Hindu practice of non-Violence; unfortunately, however, I do not think he exercised his Wisdom on the virtues of Zionism when the Jews sought their Home in Palestine against the Hitler-admiring Arabs of Palestine under the Mufti of Jerusalem. (4) Unfortunately, it appears that you are somewhat of a PERFECTION by demanding of Muslims too much in a rather short period of time. Maybe you should consider something like demanding that the United Nations examine the Text Books of all Arab and Muslim countries to see how much hatred is that against Hindus like yourself simple because you are not a part of the Ummah. And then you will need to wait the number of years the young Muslim boys and girls grow up into adults and begin their demand for your beloved DEMOCRACY! Submitting....
