I imagine that you are familiar with both the OT and NT predictions of this situation. In the NT, the Book of Revelation follows the outline of Zechariah, building upon the parable of the woman and the dragon. In Zechariah, it is the rejectionist Jews who are taken into the wilderness by the large bird (the woman in the basket), whereas in Revelation, it is the mother of Messiah. The two, of course, are one and the same. The "wilderness" they are taken to is exile, or "the galut": in Babyolon originally, then in the Roman world, and finally in (primarily) the US.

In the OT, Israel is likened to an adulterous wife, who God nevertheless receives back. In Revelation, the adulterous woman in Babylon commits fornication with the kings of the earth. Those kings are represented by a beast that has its roots in the OT prophecies of Daniel In Daniel's "statue" prophecy, the modern great nation-states are represented by the ten toes, but in his "beast" prophecy, they are represented by ten horns of the beast that corresponds to the Roman Empire. There are four discrete beasts in the latter prophecy, but the former prophecy shows they are all part of one, greater, beast. Revelation continues in this vein, representing the powerful kingdoms of the earth as a seven-headed, ten-horned beast. Revelation goes on to say that those ten horns would 1. hate the adulterous woman (Israel AND the church, it seems) and strip her naked, and 2. give their power and authority in these last days, to the greater beast.

Counting the "ten horns" as the great colonial powers of the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the greater "beast" probably represents the New World Order consisting of the UN and its daughter organizations such as the World Bank and the IMF, all of which are headquartered in the US; and constituent sub-groups such as NATO and the EU and related fora such as the Bilderberg group, DAVOS, the G-8, the G-20, etc. All these are led by the US and its allies such as the UK and France.

All of the above have been created with the purpose of replacing the "horns", i.e. the sovereign nation states of the world, with a central, "global" govenment. As my link shows, these "globalists" consists of command economies such as China and Venezuela, as well as consortia of bureaucrats such as Jean Claude Juncker and his gang, all underwritten by enormusly powerful multi-national banks.

The scriptures speak of a "little horn" that arises among the ten, who appears to be a person. This may be what the "Trumpist" or (as Daniel Pipes calls it) "civilizationist" revolution is about. On the surface, it looks like a people's revolt against the Globalists/ New World Order. Underneath, however, it is probably the beginning of a contest for supremacy WITHIN the New World Order. In this contest, Trump may be an unwitting figurehead, with the real actors behind the scenes -- Javanka, the RINOS the Remainers the "bad cops" (like Comey and Mueller), the media manipulators such as CNN and Mark Zuckerman and market manipulators like George Soros -- actually making the moves.

Time will tell.
