Crazy like a fox

Sharon may be crazy like a fox. Consider the present circumstances. Should Israel go to war or retaliate with severe measures against the Palestinians in order to end this never ending conflict at this time, the world, including the United States, would come down on him like a ton of bricks. But now that Sharon has made this unprecedented gesture of peace, the world will be hard pressed to condemn Sharon if the Palestinians continue to target Israel with their bombs and suicide bombers as they most assuredly will and Israel retaliates with full force. Could it be that Sharon with this gesture of peace is setting a trap for the Palestinians that they will not resist?
