I know Treadgold to be an excellent academic from his studies of Byzantium. It is a verifiable fact that many universities are now nothing more than radical indoctrination cells for Far Left ideology, with an explicit bias against the West.

Which makes it all the funnier that this book has 2.2 out of 5 on Goodreads. It must have ruffled quite a many feathers.
