Erdogan's Turkey Trot

Reader comment on item: Istanbul's Election Puzzle

Submitted by Sheikh Anvakh (United Kingdom), Jun 26, 2019 at 05:16

The irony of Grand Sultan wannabe Erdogan's electoral shenanigans was when the EU's Presidential wannabe Guy Verhofstadt had the brazen gall to complain at Erdogan not respecting the results of a democratic election while doing all he can to nullify and cause a seconds UK referendum that was won by a margin of 1.3 million votes, a 4% spread. Note too the SILENCE by Verhofstadt, Tusk, Shultz, Juncker on the Turkish encroachment on a member state, Cyprus.
