ViolenceReader comment on item: How Trump Put Netanyahu in an Untenable Position Submitted by Edward, Aug 18, 2019 at 14:02 Most likely, this wasn't just a visit. There has been rocket fire from Gaza, and Hamas sent out a group from Gaza to infiltrate Israel. There was activity on the West Bank. Had Tlaib and Omar made their visit, there would likely have been much more violence and more Palestinian deaths. Miftah not only organized the trip; they have terror connections. Tlaib and Omar would have been happy to condemn Israel from their "first hand" experience of excessive force. They were being set up to be pawns in an attack scheme. In preventing the visit, Israel saved Palestinian lives, something neither the Palestinian leadership nor Tlaib and Omar care at all about.
