#Walkaway 4 and the discredited New York TimesReader comment on item: A Reluctant but Unhesitating Vote for Donald Trump Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Jun 9, 2020 at 07:27 Dr Pipes, This is your tweet dated 6/8/2020 "The resignation of @NYTimes opinion editor @JBennet & re-assignment of deputy editor I thank them, noting the NYT is now closed shut to someone w/ my views." I used to be an avid reader of the NYT. In 2003 the editorial board supported the invasion of Iraq because of Sadam Hussein's WMD! It just did not make sense because Sadam Hussein was a secularist and his worst enemy was al-Qa'eda and radical Islam. This, to me, meant that the editors were either lying or ignorant and they did not know much about Iraq! I started looking at the history of truly bad reporting from the New York Times and came across the shameful reporting of Walter Duranty back in 1932 about Stalin and the unfolding human tragedy "the Holodomor" and the death by starvation of millions of Ukrainians by Stalin and his secret police. What is most astounding is that Duranty was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1932 for his reporting from Stalin's Russia and the Ukraine. Duranty died in 1957 but this was not the end of the story. journalists and historians started examining what really happened in 1932-1933 and Duranty's reporting was proven to be fraudulent. https://www.nytco.com/company/prizes-awards/new-york-times-statement-about-1932-pulitzer-prize-awarded-to-walter-duranty/ https://www.nytco.com/company/prizes-awards/new-york-times-statement-about-1932-pulitzer-prize-awarded-to-walter-duranty/ on November 23/2003, Those in charge of the Pulitzer Prize declined, yes declined, to rescind his 1932 Pulitzer Prize. This was my breaking point with the NYT and my total lack of trust in awards given by the Pulitzer Prize organization. I stopped reading the New York Times in 2019 due to their horrible reporting about the fake RussiaGate. The New York Times is irrelevant and their worst enemies are the citizen journalists on social media and the internet that are exposing their lies and poor reporting.
