Mike Ramirez and Surat Muhammad 35Reader comment on item: Convincing Anti-Zionists that the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict Is Over Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Sep 9, 2020 at 15:14 Mike you wrote: > However, be forewarned of the Islamic war strategy called "Hudna" which allows for temporary peace with an enemy until the opportune time when that peace agreement can be broken by Muslims at a time when the other party is vulnerable for attack. al-Mufasereen tell us that the word Hudna or هدنة means: An agreement to stop fighting or هدنة is a معاهدة or agreement to stop fighting for a period of time and it is not permanent peace by any means. https://islamweb.net/ar/library/index.php?page=bookcontents&idfrom=6627&idto=6627&bk_no=15&ID=6511 However, and as usual there is always a catch in Islam. Now, in Surat Muhammad, verse 35 it says: فلاتهنوا وتدعوا الى السَّلم وانتم الاعلون This can be rendered as: So do not be cowards/afraid/weak (the word تهنوا is defined by al-Tabari as الضعف و الخوف and تجبنوا or weak, coward, afraid) and ask for peace if you are winning (al-Tabari defines the word الاعلون as الغالبون or those that are winning) https://quran.ksu.edu.sa/tafseer/tabary/sura47-aya35.html My advise to Israel is stay strong and ready but accept المعاهدة or the agreement
