Tovey: He was not a smart or a disciplined theologian!Reader comment on item: The Latest on Islamism (and Related Topics) Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Oct 21, 2020 at 07:37 Again, this is only for kuffar: There is a well known verse in the Qur'an and it is: وشهد شاهد من اهلها To make it simple, the ultimate witness is he/she is from the family/tribe of the accused. More? and the tribe of Muhammad, Quraish or his ultimate witness, told him that his so called revelations are no more than اساطير الاولين and this can be rendered as: The fables of the ancients. So it seems to me that the pagans of Mecca did not buy Muhammad's so called revelations and that he was not teaching anything new. And he was a poor and un-disciplined theologian. So what is the source of Muhammad's revelations? It must be, primarily, the OT, the NT, اساطير الاولين (fables of the ancients), اساطير اليهود (the fables of the Jews), and the literature of the Syriac speakers the likes of the fable of the 7 sleepers of Ephesus.
