Daniel Pipes will be proven right againReader comment on item: Expert predicts more violence in Gaza Submitted by Amitabh tripathi (India), Sep 29, 2005 at 14:13 Now again I was forced to praise Dr Daniel Pipes thanks to his vision. He is one of the visionary writers who is always proven right. In his previous article on Gaza disengagement he predicted similar reactions from Islamic terrorists. Not even the several other people who posted their comments on that very article were of similar view. But one milllion dollar question is still unanswered : when leadership of various democracies will wake up.In my previous comment I had apprehension that Gaza withdrawal from Israel had some other global implications also .It will escalate jihadi terrorism in other countries. If mohammad Abbas honestly wants to stop terrorism from radical Islamic groups like Hamas and is unable to do so, it clearly indicates a phenomenon how Islamic states are helpless before Jihad elements. So it is high time for western countries to rethink about their strategy in combating Jihad. During cold war America tackled communism intellectually and ideologically also, but against Jihad they are still not sure about fighting it ideologically. Few thinkers like Robert Spencer and Mr Daniel Pipes have shown some zeal but western world is still not clear about the identity of its enemy. Today Israel was forced to withdraw from Gaza to pave the way for peace tomorrow India will be told to leave some part of Kashmir in favour of Pakistan, then Chechnya, but this conssession will never end untill whole world will be converted in Dar-ul-salam. What intellectuals have to do to is get this fact communicated to leaders of democracies who are much more interested in dissolving problems rather than solving them Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
