Understanding Why the Nativity of the Nazarene is MisunderstoodReader comment on item: A Prophet Has Appeared Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Oct 23, 2021 at 20:43 Among the more intriguing aspects of Christianity is the narrative of the birth of Yeshua, Emmanuel, the Anointed One, the Holy One of Israel. In it the debates start with how does God become human; what is a virgin birth; was tis an accident in history; or how does the Holy Scripture deal out the evidence that interfering humanity took the truth and in various and variant form, attempted to rewrite it whenever and where ever it could. We find that the replacement theology of the Quran could not resist the attempt to spin its own version since apparently, the testimony of the Gospel by the end of the second century CE was at the same time compelling enough to be spread throughout the then known world and most contravening religious ideologies were hard pressed to offer anything similar to the salvation and eternal life based upon the witness of a Savior and His sacrifice on the cross. Even as the letters of Paul were directed towards the non-Jewish populations for salvation, the contravening activities of the enemies of 'Christians' become more and more directed in eliminating the Jewishness of the belief in the savior of Israel and appropriating the narrative of that salient aspect required targeting the initial story of His virgin birth to a Jewish maiden. Thus, we now are able to discern why, if not fully how, that story was transformed and merged into the pagan rituals of the time and how many of the traditions observed are interwoven into the altered Christmas story today. DNM's observation, once more, provided this observer another clue as to the transformation that most Christians (and definitely all non-Christians) do not realize is part of the deception to keep anyone from knowing the Truth. The Scriptures (both the basic Hebrew Holy Writ and the subsequent writings that make up the New Testament) tell the truth; the subsequent commentaries (and they are legion and many) are suspect and likely diversionary.
