Britain and Europe need to reverse their stand on capital punishmentReader comment on item: Melbourne's Petite, Shy, Honors-Student Jihadi Submitted by Prashant (United States), Oct 27, 2021 at 15:05 Dear Dr Pipes, The murder of the British MP David Amess in broad day light by Somaliam immigrant Ali Harbi Ali (https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-58997590) was not discussed in the media much. Ali Harbi Ali is the handsome son of a privileged Somalian family. But he is also an Islamic terrorist who chose to kill. I think Britain and the European union must allow capital punishment for religiously motivated terroristic violence. The laws needs to be changed. The so called bad Muslims that kill and die for good old Islam need to be shown that democratic societies can stand up to defend themselves. Am I the first one to demand that Europe should change their stand on capital punishment when religious terrorists do not get unpunished? Cause of justice demands that. Under no crcumstances I will like to go how David Amess had to go. So, I say this. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
