That some of the Muslims once recognized the connection between Jews and Temple Mount is completely irrelevant in any conceivable practical context. Islam is a political ideology. The party line is that there is no connection between Jews and the TM. So the Muslims at large will NEVER admit such connection again.

The book reviewed by Dr. Pipes is therefore nothing but a piece of elegant academic acrobatics useful only to people who enjoy the acrobatics for acrobatics' sake.
