Ending Islamic usurpation of places important for other cultures.Reader comment on item: Islam, Jews and the Temple Mount Submitted by Prashant (India), Dec 9, 2021 at 09:31 Dear Dr Pipes, Throughout their history Muslims have usurped and destroyed the places important to people belonging to other faiths. We know about the Hagia Sophia church in Turkey, about the Cordoba church in Spain, and about the temple towns of Mathura, and Ayodhya in India. There are countless other such examples. Unknown to the other civilizations, for 1400 years from the year 620 till today, when everyone else was fighting economic and political battles, Muslims were fighting a clandestine religious battle. Under this deception Muslim armies won millions of square miles around the world. I am not surprised that Muslims are trying to establish that temple mount is unconnected to Judaism. India recently won its battle against the usurpation of Ayodhya temple by Muslims and freed it from Islamic stronghold. The same process must be repeated nonviolently for all religious places snatched by Muslims all around the world. No people need to fight this battle alone. Temple Mount is not just the problem for Jews. It should be a problem for all people who love freedom and liberty.
