Turkiye Owes No Ideological Allegiances to NATO or Western Allies - How Does That Play When the Chips are Down and the Hand Called

in response to reader comment: Islamic duplicity: the good and bad cops behave as if they have never met each other.

There is no present evidence neither prescient knowledge that Turkiye will act on behalf of NATO if the circumstances are presented in which a call from NATO to Turkiye to defend a NATO alliance would be honored, say if a sovereign interest in the Mediterranean is challenged by a breakout move through the Bosporus by a warm water entrance of the Russian seeking to reinforce its Syrian interests or other threats to Belarus.
Turkiye's membership in NATO provides no guarantees of good or bad as long as the current government does not reveal where its true allegiances are, something the PM is careful to preserve in self protective interests. Even considering the obvious Islamic predeliction of the religious extreme that is present there does not relieve the idea that if/when Islam is called into obvious support when it comes to Israel's defense, what does anyone think will be the result. Even in the west, it is an unanswerable question:
who will answer the call?
