What makes the Druze and Bedouins exceptions :: Reader comments at Daniel Pipes

I get that the Druze arent exactly Muslim but then by that standards neither are the Assads( Alawiite).
Can the Israeli Arabs assimilate and disappear over time? Thought experiment- if the arabs were Christians, would they be as radical? My guess is- depends on which type of Christian . Orthodox would be quite anti Israel and Catholic/Maronite would be a lot warmer to accepting a Jewish state.
