How they decided on bagels

"Hey Abdul, we're really getting a lot of complaints about how the Jews here aren't allowed to pray and can't get access to kosher food. It's not looking good for our PR."

"Yeah, hmmm...Listen, I got it. Ever heard of that infidel queen, Marie Antoinette?"

"No, who was she?"

"She was some French royal dhimmi who faced a similar problem when disgruntled people complained about the food, so she said: Let them eat cake. Smart! I say we tell them: Let them eat bagels. They'll love it and we don't have to do much of anything."

"Sounds good. What ever happened to that Marie, anyway?"
