Palestinian State: De Facto Gaza & De Jure West BankReader comment on item: Corbyn, Sanders, and the Need for Israel Victory Submitted by Robert (United States), Feb 13, 2023 at 17:54 It appears that the world is living in an illusion. (1) In fact there already exists a Palestinian entity that governs itself in Gaza which has a border with Egypt and at outlet to the Mediterranean Sea and is actively in a state of war against Israel in order to destroy it and conquest it. (2) In the West Bank the world recognizes the Palestinian Authority as the Sovereign with un-re-elected Abbas as its "Dictator" who wants half of Jerusalem as its Capitol and the "armistice-border" of 1948-1967 for its Palestine "State." What is weird in this context is the unreasonable expectations being imposed on Israel by the 193 countries of the United Nations. Ironically, the current military (war?) events in Ukraine and Russia demonstrate what the real world is like; Palestinians, perhaps 80% currently will only accept a 10 year truce (a precedent embodied in the Koran when Muhammad rules) and peace, before going to war in order to destroy Israel and restore the Ummah back to Palestine as it allegedly existed during the Ottoman Empire - that is effectively the ideology of the "Muslim Brotherhood" of Hamas which rules Gaza and is gaining political traction in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. So the world expects Israel to wait (10 years?) until the Palestinians are ready to sit at the table and make Peace. But the constant terrorist killing of Israelis civilians as well as stone-throwing demonstrates martyrdom rewarded with financial benefits what the true motive is of the average Palestinian - a Holocaust against the Jews in Israel, but only with knives since they have no capacity to build gas chambers (only tunnels and missiles, and are waiting for Iran to build, for their benefit, nuclear weapons). Ask Palestinians if its OK for Iran to use nukes against Israel in order to "free" the Palestinians? The Jews and Israelis excel in all fields of human endeavor - except self defense (the Holocaust and Bernie Sanders are proof of that); most of the Jews in the USA are either Conservative or Liberal (the Orthodox and Hasidim are a minority), and they are all "bleeding-hearts" for the "stateless" Palestinians. The fact that Palestinians want to stab them in the back because of Israel is "understood" by them as the consequence of the so-called "occupation"; just give them a country in half of Israel or Jerusalem and everything will be OK. The alternative is to continue with Close-Settlements as expressed and adopted in the Mandate for Palestine. When or if the peaceful possibility emerges of "another state," it too will have at least 20% Jews living "next door" as neighbors. Why must a new state next to Israel be 100% free of Jews? We already have Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria 100% free of Jews. It is these Arab states, and their Palestinian Muslim Brethren who want Apartheid (no Jews) in "their" Middle East. On the other hand, Israel has currently, an 18.1% minority of former Palestinians living and working in Israel as its citizens. Why must Israel help the world create an Apartheid State (no Jews) for the Palestinians in East Jerusalem and the West Bank when Gaza already is an Apartheid "State" (100% no Jews) and the Policy of the ruling Hamas is joy, celebration, and sweats every time an Israeli Jew, woman and child are murdered by a Palestinian Terrorist Martyr whose family receives social benefits for the slaughter of an Israeli (Jew)?
