As a Canadian, I'm appalled by my governments lack of support for Israel.

Canada to some, is "Canada the Good".

Lets back up the truth trolley a moment, shall we?

Canada turns a blind eye to terrorism, houses and protects war criminals, sends truck loads of cash (in the millions of $) to the tsunami victims of Dec 26/04.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

It has totally turned its back on Native Canadians. Housed on reservations, many of Canada's natives live in derelict homes, are under a "boil water" warning, have limited access to health care, jobs, I could go on...

The Jews of Israel were granted land to settle upon under the Balfour Agreement in 1919. The late Ben Wicks wrote a great book, The Promised Land. It speaks of the struggle of Jews giving up everything they had to find a safe place to live. Their will, their drive far surpassed that of the Palestinians. The Jews found their land of milk and honey, made it a reality, because they wanted it, were willing to work for it.

Israel and its people should be lauded for their industriousness, their gumption. I'm sick and tired of the political environment, the lambasting, the blaming of everything under the sun, upon Israel. Israel has every right to defend itself, in ANY WAY required.

I'm alot like Israel. You can send a few "rockets" my way, I may turn my cheek. But when you fire at my core, my heart? You'd better be ready baby, cause I've had enough...
