non - islamic jizya taxReader comment on item: Dhimmitude in Practice Submitted by John Randall Peacher (United States), Dec 31, 2005 at 04:35 Americans are already paying jizya to Islamic countries. We pay with every gallon of gasoline we put in our gas vehicles.Because of policies by major international oil companies, car manufacturers, government officials and our appetite for gas guzzling vehicles we will continue to send tens of billions of dollars to countries that support terrorist organizations. Seems we have to learn the hard way; at the cost of tens of thousands of deaths by American military forces. American steel was used by Japan to build their military machine in the 1930's, IBM cards and technology was used by the Germans to catalog consentration camp internees, now, oil is a giant vacumn cleaner robbing our national and personal treasuries to the point that our national debt, in the trillions of dollars, is financed by nations we contend are our friends. Visions and delusion. Who will arise to save us from ourselves? When will we awaken from our slumber? Will oil producing countries finance our next war that will possibly be against the oil producing countries themselves? Seems obvious to me this could lead to our very demise as a major player on the world scene in the very near future. Who will take our place? China? Will democracy and freedom be a dream of years gone by... Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
