Unfortunate that Muslim Leaders do not agree with you.Reader comment on item: Dhimmitude in Practice Submitted by Gerald Kreaden (United States), Apr 6, 2007 at 15:48 Dr. Hamid's article is surely a start from which the Muslim Leaders, both in the West and in the Arab world, can learn from. Unfortunately, over the past 70 years I have been alive, there has been nothing, even remotely similar, coming from the Muslim leadership, to admitting their culpability in supporting worldwide terrorism. Whenever an act of terror is committed, there is 'popular' street celebrations in Arab countries and deafening silence from the Muslim communities in Western countries. What we have been privy to, is the manner in which the Arab/Muslim countries speak one way to the West in order to pander to the political left, and say the exact opposite in Arabic to their own populations. They have learned how to manipulate the World Media, to suit their agendas. I for one, will have to see more of this mea culpa coming from not only the Leaders of the Arab/Muslim countries, but also from the head Imams preaching it from their Mosques. Along with the Fatwas that must be issued by their religious leaders specifically stating, that Islam denounces the terror they have spawned. Until that day, the Western countries must be vigilant in defending their citizens, and the left leaning apologists have to be ignored, if we are to remain a free society.
