Why does the media give a platform to such lies?Reader comment on item: [Hussein Ibish:] U.S. Arabs' Firebrand Submitted by Frank Luke (United States), May 11, 2002 at 17:11 If the media gives prime TV time to such people, it gives the impression that they are right, at least to those who WANT to believe in lies, and are uncomfortable with truth. It is very important that our TV time be given to those who speak the truth. If our media people are not careful, they will do much more harm to the cause of the civilized world than they realize at the moment. Freedom of press is an excellent gift, but all freedoms must be exercised with wisdom. Just because it is POSSIBLE to give TV time to a liar does not mean it is right to do so. Do our media people not realize that they can harm the civilized world by being unwise?
