Finally, the Straw Breaks the Camel's Back!!Reader comment on item: The West Stands Up for Its Customs Submitted by Lex Economidis (United States), Feb 3, 2006 at 11:07 I have long wondered when or even if the Europeans would be roused to take a stand, and I am pleasantly surprised to see that they have found their rallying point!! If taking a stand for the freedoms of expression and the press are what it takes rather than adamantly defending one's own civilization, I suppose that's what I'll have to settle for.Still, I find it sad that we had to see so many laws changed and pushed to the breaking point, so much bullying and even murder to get to this point. Oh, that my hero Pim Fortuyn had not been murdered for taking his stand!! I hope he his looking down on this controversy now with glee!!
