Arab Community Leaders?Reader comment on item: Monitoring Iraqis Living in the United States Submitted by Gary (United States), Nov 20, 2002 at 16:55 My understanding is that the Arab community leaders are actually part of the problem. It's been 14 months since 9/11 and I am still waiting for just one of these "Arab community leaders" to come out and say anything other than "Islam is a religion of peace", "stop violating our civil rights", "it's Israel's fault" and "the Bush administration is discriminating against Muslims with this Patriot Act"Daniel, do you think you could help us find one Arab who is actually a normal contributing member of American society who is not afraid of supporting our great country in public? My guess is that as soon as an American Arab says anything that is not sanctioned by the local cleric, they are terrorized by their peers and leaders, even right here in America. Thanks
