Cnly the Names ChangeReader comment on item: Israel Does Not Need Palestinian Recognition? Submitted by dr. richard s. tomback (United States), Jun 30, 2006 at 13:50 Dear Dr. Pipes, Rather than concentrate on one aspect of this E mail, I have chosen to present a general response. Israel has attempted for more than fifty years to find a solution to its conflict with the Palestinians. Solution implies compromise, PESHARAH, on the part of the Arab world and on the part of Israel. Unfortunately, however, this two state situation will, in my opinion never come about. The Palestinians, as well as most of the Arab world, or perhaps Muslim world envisions a Middle East without the Jewish state. Israel has existed for more than fifty years without the recognition of most of the Muslim world. Does it really make any difference if the flags of Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia fly over a building in Tel Aviv? The great leaders of Zion, much to my sorrow , seem to be a matter of past history. Respetfully, Richard S. Tomback Ph.D Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
