Islamic FascistsReader comment on item: The Arab Argument over Hizbullah Submitted by LDC (United States), Aug 11, 2006 at 13:18 The War on Terrorism is a misnomer. Terrorism is a tactic, not an enemy. The enemies are Islamic Fascists who use terror as a tactic, and, so far, non-state terrorist organizations as their fighters. Unlike the wars of the 20th Century, there is no clear line between warring nations, the fighters dress as civilians, and only one side has declared war as formally as they know how. Their leaders, like Iranian President Ahmadinejad, make bold threats that many discount as hyperbole. Like Nikita Khrushchev, he threatens us. Unlike Khrushchev, he doesn't want to visit Disneyland. Our cadre of political leadership, which sees only as far as the next election, is caught in a partisan loop, debating the merits of an on-going battle in Iraq. For them, it's all about power inside the Beltway. Meanwhile, Israel fights for her life against one of the surrogate armies of the Islamic Fascists, headquartered in Iran. And the Iranians will soon reinforce the point that the U.N. is the League of Nations all over again. Once the Master Race claimed superiority; now it's the Master Religion. Once it was the ruthless Fuhrer and Emperor. Now it's a politburo of mullahs who rule from the shadows, but are no less inclined toward violence. Once Kamikazes, now suicide bombers. Once the Third Reich and the Empire of Japan. Now a return to the glory of the Caliphate. World war, all over again.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
