American Jews live in a dream-world.Reader comment on item: Might the American Jewish Establishment Wake to the Threat of Radical Islam? Submitted by Terry Brodsky (Israel), Aug 11, 2006 at 16:20 Most American Jews have no contact in their daily life with virulent anti-Jewish feelings. Sure, they hear things from time to time from far-away places but they think this is just a few individuals, just crazies. They don't understand that whole populations, millions of people, are infected by Islamic anti-Jewish propaganda for several generations. The internet is full of Islamic sites that spew out anti-semitic tirades. Preachers at thousands of mosques make speeches against Jews. The Arab media broadcasts an anti-Israel & anti-American message day in, day out. And, like most Americans, American Jews have short memories. Now that Muslims have immigrated all over the world, including America, why be surprised that they have brought this same attitude with them. Look at France or Britain or for that matter, anywhere in Europe and even South America. All people can do is to confront the problem head-on. Being "polite", seeking compromise, trying to foster understanding, is only showing weakness & is a losing strategy.
